August 22, 20243 min read

Welcome to the ultimate guide on QR codes. QR codes, short for Quick Response codes, are an incredibly efficient way to share information and engage with your audience, both online and offline. In this blog post, we will walk you through the steps on how to create, customize, and analyze QR codes using your account.

Getting Started with QR Codes

Inside your account, you can create unlimited QR codes that you can share online or offline. The process is straightforward and versatile. Once generated, these QR codes can be:

  • Edited

  • Updated

  • Deleted

  • Downloaded

You also have the capability to analyze the results of your QR codes, either collectively or individually. Let’s dive into the process.

Creating a QR Code

To create a QR code, start by clicking on the blue button in the upper right-hand corner of your account dashboard.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Enter the Create QR Code Section: You will be presented with the option to name your QR code and choose the type of QR code you want to generate. This could be a website link or a review link.

  2. Website QR Codes:

    • If you are creating a QR code for a website, simply click on "Website" and then select "Next."

    • Enter the URL of the website you wish to share.

    • When you change the URL, the QR code dynamically updates to reflect the new URL.

Note: You can add additional tracking abilities such as UTM parameters for more detailed analytics. Your account already provides QR code analytics for tracking purposes.

    • Once satisfied with the URL, proceed by clicking "Next."

  3. Customization Options:

    • This page allows you to personalize your QR code’s appearance.

    • Change Colors: Adjust the background color, dot color, marker border color, and marker center color.

    • Shapes and Forms: Customize the shape and form of the marker border and marker center.

    • Logos: Add a logo to your QR code. For instance, if you’re generating a QR code for a Facebook review link, you can add the Facebook logo.

  4. Review Link QR Code:

    • To create a review link QR code, ensure your account is integrated with Facebook or Google reviews.

    • Click on "Review Link" and choose either Facebook or Google review QR code type.

    • Enter your Google or Facebook review link URL. Ensure your account is connected for dynamic updates.

Finalizing Your QR Code

  • Design Customization: Customize the header call-to-action text, font family, text color, and add a footer where you can upload your logo or additional images.

  • Color Settings: Similar to the website QR code, you can adjust colors all the way down to the page background.

  • Download and Save: You can download the QR code directly from this screen. Don’t forget to save your design.

Analyzing QR Code Performance

Understanding the performance of your QR codes is crucial. The analytics page offers a comprehensive view of all the QR codes you have created.

  1. Overall Performance:

    • Get a broad overview of your QR codes’ scans.

    • Analyze collective data for all QR codes.

  2. Individual QR Code Analysis:

    • Drill down into individual QR codes by name.

    • View the number of scans each QR code has received.

    • Analyze unique scan totals.

Timeline and Date Filtering

  • Narrow down your analysis by choosing specific timelines or dates to get more focused insights.

Conclusion

Creating and analyzing QR codes is a straightforward process that can significantly enhance your engagement efforts. By following these steps, you can effectively generate QR codes tailored to your needs and gain valuable insights into their performance.

Don't forget to leverage the customization options to make your QR codes stand out and align with your branding. Happy QR coding!
